"Art is a helpful language for those less able to express themselves verbally. It can be equally relevant for the articulate who can use words to distract, defend or delay" Leisl Silverstone, Person-centred Art Therapy
When words fail to express what we are feeling it can be helpful to express ourselves in a more creative way - using art materials, given images, toys or puppets. We are creative from birth but our creativity can be easily lost or destroyed during our childhood. We are surrounded by images that evoke or provoke emotions and memories. I can support you in exploring your world in this way. If this interests you do contact me to discuss it.
I am an experienced and intuitive trainer, having delivered much training in Emotional Literacy to various professionals in Health and Education. I have also worked with counselling colleagues on Working Creatively with Clients and Working with Children and Teenagers. My training sessions are experiential and participatory in nature, building on trainees experience and encouraging reflection, building their confidence to use what they know and developing their own creativity and intuition.
